Life really does come at you fast. For the first time in quite a while, I've got a creative streak and I'm gonna ride the wave. With that I had a crazy idea!

Introducing the March Writing Prompt Challenge for 2026!

The challenge

Everyday in the month of March I'm going to write a prompt and then challenge myself to follow that prompt.

I'm going to admit it, I'm using these prompts to work on my own writing, but I figure they'd worth a share.

A good writing prompt should do three things:

  1. Create constraints: To give guard rails.
  2. Forces specificity: To challenge you to write more more meaningfully or mindfully
  3. Targets a skill: To help you hone the skill you want to focus on.

With that being said, give yourself grace. You are practicing, not publishing these stories, unless perhaps you are doing a silly writing prompt challenge.
